Lucky 7 Meme/Seven Sentence Snippet

I wasn't going to play this, but since I've now been tagged by Sonya Clark, Jessica Subject, Katje van Loon and Laurel Kriegler, I felt like a bit of a spoilsport. So here goes with the rules:

1. Go to page 77 of your current MS
2. Go to line 7
3. Copy down the next 7 lines – sentences or paragraphs – and post them as they're written. No cheating.
4. Tag 7 authors
5. Let them know

So here are my seven, taken from one of my four current WIP - a sfr novella called Tethered.

His eyes flickered open, startled. "Tyree?"She opened her mouth, about to protest, but he blinked his eyes and saw her clearly. Pain splintered into her, pouring from him in an icy cascade of shock. "Tyree!"Agony smacked her in the chest. His passion had been for his lost love, not for her.She Misted out and ran away.
So there you go. Now to tag another seven victims...er, authors. :)
1.Gayle Ramage
2.Chantal Halpin
3.Liz Culver
4.Diana Stevens
5.Cary Caffrey
6.Heidi Ruby Miller
7.Diane Dooley

Tethered? Thanks! Oh, I like this one a lot. Remember our discussion about succubi? This is the story from that. :D

Chantal Halpin Have you read the Succubus series, Georgina Kincaid by Richelle Mead yet?

Pippa Jay I haven't. You know, I looked at them and then thought 'If I read them now, will bits of them affect Tethered?' so I've held off. I didn't want them to influence that story at all. Have a few to-reads to finish for my SFR Reading Challenge and then I'm going to read them.

Chantal Halpin Lol! Fair enough - I'm the opposite, I have to read everything with witches so I know what everyone else is writing. I tell my hubby it is important research and that's why I have to 'invest' so much ££ in books!

Pippa Jay Lol, I tell hubs that's why I read too, but he says my choice of genres is far too limited. Too often I'll read something, then start writing and find bits that I liked creeping into my own story. That is NOT allowed. So I won't ever read something that might be similar to an idea I have. Probably why I spent so many years reading fantasy and writing scifi - both spec fic but enough separation that nothing could seep in.
Having said that, a fellow sfr author and I exchanged 'books' the other day, and it's frightening how many similarities there are in our work. We've only read the odd SSS snippets of each others' over the last year, and yet she also used 'Hades' to swear by, there's the whole telepathy thing, and her main character is in a similar situation to Keir in my sequel. It's spooky! Apparently it's called writer synergy.
