12 LikesI won’t lie, it felt really good. Both to enjoy some time together away from the busy-ness of regular home life and to really let it sink in that all my hard work is starting to pay off. And on that note, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate each and every one of your all’s support.
You can’t ever achieve anything in life worth achieving without a great team around you, and I’m fortunate to have so much support. So thanks to each of you.
While I’m talking about our short, mid-week trip, let me share one other quick item.
On our way home, a normal pitstop for fuel turned into something else, and I share this not for publicity or to brag, but to encourage you to do the same.

We noticed this older man struggling and noticed he had a retired marine sticker on his car. Stan pulled over to help. Thank you @StanRMitchell for showing there is still kindness in this world

An older gentleman was having trouble trying to fill a nearly-flat tire and I was probably going to stop to help anyway. But once I saw the Marine Corps sticker of Semper Fi on the trunk, I was most definitely going to stop.
I surveyed my surroundings and made sure the situation seemed safe (wouldn’t be the first time bad guys laid a trap at a gas station on an interstate exit, right?), and once I was sure it was safe, I pulled over and assisted him. It not only felt great to help him, but I got to hear a bit about his Marine Corps service, which dated back to the Korean War.
Not that you all don’t already know this, but the reality is we’ll all be older someday, if we’re lucky enough and fortunate to make it that long, so help someone if and when you can. And maybe someday when you’re in the same situation, someone will help you, too.
Beginning with Ukraine, the biggest news since Tuesday was the sinking of Russia’s largest ship in the Black Sea.

The Russians provided all kinds of explanations for the loss.

Quite remarkable that they were able to pull this off.
And one final China point, I’m hoping that China is watching very closely the economic pain that Russia is going through. China can expect much of the same reaction itself.
It’s arguably already beginning.
