HE ONCE WAS – He once was that passionate troubadour of small stage and festival – His smile lit up the faces of those gathered on nights of years ago – His fans were many, yet few knew him true – A lovely lady with a twinkle in her eyes in the second row held his heart – She knew his tale – Coming out from the Midwest somewhere was from where his journey began to be seated on that stage there – Voice has fallen low as the years have grown – Fans once young and vibrant have grayed a bit too –The lady in his life had become his wife – A duet of joy brought about a baby boy – He once was a man about the world on tour – Yet, he decided to leave the road for love and family – But, a man like him could never be a bore – Troubadour of the globe now performs only for a lucky pair – Sentimental love songs have gone out the window, as toddler favorites have taken the space – An artist such as he has been blessed with heaven’s greatest grace – He once was the worlds’ – He is now theirs.  ---   Designed by A.H, Scott, “He Once Was”.
