Spring cleaning, yes. But before you file everything away—the drafts of the manuscript that you abandoned halfway or couldn’t sell or decided that you hate or one that bombed—take a minute and sit with it. Literally.

Remind yourself: I made this. Whatever it is. And it took all these drafts—all this work, all these days, these hours, these pages, these words. So much of it done completely alone.

Because if you don’t hold onto it, no one else will. And, in truth, it’s only the doing that any of us ever really have. 💗
