Satan was WRONG

The devil stooped to the deepest level of arrogance and disrespect as he accused God of playing a spiritual game with Job. Instead of trembling before his Maker, Satan said to God, “Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.” (2:4-5)

But as I check my Bible, that is not what happened. After all the unbelievably cruel ordeal Satan put him through, when God presented Himself face to face before Job, this was his response:

FIRST: Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth. (40:4)
and then,
SECONDLY: I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee…. Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes. (42:2,6)

Here are a few lessons:Satan cannot know the true resolve of a redeemed heart.He does not understand God’s love.He is the fountain head of disrespect.He is such a liar that he can even deceive himself.
