Elaine Hsieh Chou's satirical 2022 Debut novel Disorientation, launching March 22, follows Taiwanese American PhD student Ingrid Yang through a wild series of adventures and misadventures after she discovers a curious note in the archives. Things get wilder and wilder as she confronts her sticky relationship to white men and white institutions and, of course, herself.
