March 19, 2022: Getting Into The 3D Printing Game

All the cool kids are doing it, so I used the list of recommended devices we posted to thefantasytrip.game (with one minor tweak; I bought the Mars 3 instead of the Mars 2) and ordered everything I need to start 3D printing. It's going to take a few weeks to get the machine up and running properly (mostly because of limited time and not how tough it is to use the equipment), but now it is only a matter of time until miniatures start magically appearing in the house.

If you want to get an idea of what it's like for a newbie to get into the act of 3D printing resin miniatures, I suggest these DI posts that Steve has shared as he started printing minis at home. Now I'm 3D Printing (Part 1)Now I'm 3D Printing (Part 2)Now I'm 3D Printing (Part 3)Now I'm 3D Printing (Part 4)Now I'm 3D Printing (Part 5)Now I'm 3D Printing (Part 6)Now I'm 3D Printing (Part 7)NI3DP Part 8 – Improved Washing, And Assorted Observations.I'll post a few pics of minis just as soon as the printer has done the necessary work of turning resin into awesome models.
