The 'Want To Read' List
I have a love hate relationship with my 'want to read' shelf here on Goodreads.
When I first joined Goodreads, I was absolutely delighted to see suggestions for books that I might like to read. (Part of the reason I delayed in joining Goodreads for so long was that I thought it was a 'catalog' of books and I was miffed that you could only shelve, mark as read, etc. to the books and they wouldn't let you read them for free XD.)
So my want to read list grew and grew and grew... Before I knew it, it'd reached 100 books! And I wasn't about to take a single one off of the there, but I didn't want it to grow any bigger, as then what'd be the point in adding a book on there? It'd just get lost in the fray, so to speak.
So I've been working on whittling down that list by reading the books on it but so far... *cough* haven't been too successful.
But, on the other hand, it's really handy for me. When it comes time to order in new books, I can go to my 'Want to read' list and pick some of the ones that've been on their for awhile, stick those on another shelf, etc. Being a person that really enjoys organization, this is very helpful to me. And it keeps me on track.
So what about you? What's your relationship with your 'Want to read' shelf?

Lol yeah, I've seen people with literally thousands of books on their want to read shelf XD Another reason I'm trying to keep mine a little smaller, because I do feel it could easily grow to that proportion XD
it's a love-hate relationship. I love adding to it and keeping track of all of them but in the same breath, it's stressful because there's so many and I want to read them all at the same time but...yeah. I also refer to my list when buying or checking out some at the library.

I spot a book - read the description - like it - read a couple reviews - boom - on my want to read shelf.
It's an on going process lol
I really enjoy having it though, that way I always have somewhere to look when I'm looking for a good book to read.
