An Evening With Neil Gaiman

posted by Neil Gaiman

I start touring 6 weeks from now. It's the first time I've done something like this since before Covid -- get out there every night, read stories and poems and suchlike, answer questions and generally try to interact with a living, breathing audience. I'm a bit nervous, to be honest. Still, the idea of interacting with living, breathing human beings seems wonderful.

Here's the list of places I'll be appearing, with links to get tickets. Right now there are tickets available to all of the venues except Madison Wisconsin. If you are sad I'm not going to be somewhere near to you, I also am probably sad about this too.

(There are different Covid regulations at different venues, please check your venue for their protocol.)

And I'll see you there, I hope...

Though I know you do not have much of anything to do with ticket prices, I need to point out that some, if not most of your most loyal readers cannot begin to afford 350-720 dollar tickets which is the range of prices at The Orpheum in Madison.
Maybe , in the future, a personal appearance for the groundlings?

The one in Madison actually sold out so I guess he has a lot of fans with money. lol

message 3: by Patrick (new)

Patrick I hope when Mr. Gaiman goes to Butler University he can get a picture with their mascot Blue IV. That would break the Internet.

Have those been marked up by the people reselling them? It's a lot cheaper elsewhere on the tour.

message 5: by Andreu (new)

Andreu Dear Neil.

It would be super mega awesome to have you visiting Barcelona and Madrid.

Do you think it could happen in the future?

Thank you for all the fantastic moments I had with your books, you have an amazing gift.

message 6: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Winter I love that you're touring! Any chance you'll visit the Southeast US sometime soon - maybe Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC? I live in Greenville, SC and the nearest tour stop is about 8 hours away.

Thanks for all you do! I recently read Lud-in-the-Mist based on your intro and recommendation, and I really enjoyed it.

Click on The Orpheum link and take a look. From what I can tell, the tickets start at 180 and go to over 800 dollars

Wesley Would love to see you in the midwest Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota area! (I'm starting to think we're a liminal space; we often get skipped over for big events such as these) Thank you!

message 13: by Maria (new)

Maria I've held onto my tickets for this for two years and I'm so excited to finally go. See you in April!

message 14: by Andie (new)

message 18: by Robert (new)

Robert Way back when, The Sandman was just out (yes I am old), and I went to a signing. Mr. Gaiman drew Morpheus freehand in the front blank cover space. It was magical.

message 19: by Finnean (new)

Finnean Malley See you in Columbus. Your books have meant and continue to mean a lot to me!

message 20: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Sutandar Dear Neil,

Any chance you might tour Australia in the future? Please visit us in Sydney!

message 21: by Calder (new)

Calder BH As a person that lives in Hawaii, I’m constantly disappointed by the fact that concerts, shows, and book tours don’t come around here. I’d like to see that more often.

message 22: by Alex (new)

Alex It's the "breathing" part of the audience that bothers me.

Considering that the Madison appearance you used as your example is sold out, I'm not sure anyone is going to bother taking the plight of the average individual into consideration. : /

message 24: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn I was fortunate enough to hear Mr. Gaiman speak in San Francisco and was mesmerized by him. In the midst of a world in chaos it was an absolute pleasure to hear his magic.

message 25: by Caleb (new)

Caleb Thomas I attended last night in Cleveland, Oh and I must say this was an absolutely incredible experience. As a fan, as a writer, as a human being. I learned, I laughed, I was in awe of your readings. Thank you so much for bringing your art to the world, and sharing a piece of it with us last night. Plus, I got to pick up some beautiful art/watercolor copies of your books (signed). Thank you and I look forward to your next visit
