Book Review: A Fatal Grace by Louise Penny

Published in 2006. Mystery. Chief Inspector Armand Gamache of the Surete, Quebec’s police force, is called out to investigate a murder in the village of Three Pines. CC de Poitiers died under suspicious circumstances, not an accidental electrocution. She was at a curling match near the village when she died as she stood up and touched a chair. No one saw what happened, of course. They were busy watching the curling match. But Chief Inspector Gamache brings his entire homicide team to the village and slowly uncovers the murderer.

I enjoyed reading this book as I have all the others. The author has a way with words that I wish I could emulate, but there’s only one Louise Penny.

I thought I had read every book that the author had written, but I missed this one. It’s listed as the second one published in the distinguished author’s career.
