Movie Review: Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
Oh my GOD! I don't know what is happening to Hollywood movie writers! The quality of the TV serieses are on the rise but the quality of movies is going down low! Have they seriously ran out of stories?
You know the kind of movie that you know will get an oscar but is so bloody boring you want to tear your hair out? It started fairly nicely: Tom Hanks is the father of a little boy who is a bit off and very shy and he played games with him and always engaged him in treasure hunt like games. Then the father dies in 9/11 towers collapse. The boy then finds a key and decides its the last hunt from his father an he persues it.
The story is good on its own. Tom Hanks appears for a handful of scenes only and then disappears! Then it is boring boring boring boring. Boring to the point that four people have left the movie at one point or another.
You also think to yourself what kind of mother lets her boy -who is not 100% well- wander the streets of NYC on his own on both Saturday and Sunday for weeks on end? He is obviously distressed about the less of his father, he is even hurting himself, yet no one took him to therapy? Doesn't he have homework? Doesn't he have exams?
Then when its supposed to end khala9, it wouldn't! It just bloody wouldn't! For the love of god that's ENOUGH! I've barely made it through the first time watching this movie. Never again am I going to watch it again, ever!
If you decide to watch it, take a pillow and a blanket with you. It should be renamed as Extremely slow and Incredibly Boring!
