Doubling down for the last day of February

Happy last day of February, Write Edge readers! It’s hard to believe we’re going to turn the page on the calendar tomorrow morning. Before that happens, though, I wanted to make sure I fit in everything I promised for these last few days of the month.

First, this week’s content. Today is the last Monday of the month, which means our monthly writers’ showcase. Check out what pieces made me sit up straight in my chair during February, including what I think is a lovely homage to Shirley Jackson and a short story that gives you all the feels. Find those pieces on The Write Edge Writing Workshop!

In the middle of the week, I’ll share a brand new book review with you. If you check out my Instagram today (yes, on a Monday!) you’ll see the #bookreviewpreview for this week’s novel. For those of you who don’t have Instagram, I’ll be reviewing The Night Shift by Alex Finlay. You’ll see that on Wednesday on The Write Edge Bookshelf!

At the end of the week I’ll go back to Instagram with new posts, but I’ve also posted some pictures today for all the things I should have posted on Friday. Also, a bonus: I’ve posted last week’s Growth Chart too. Here’s an excerpt of that:

Thirteen and Ms. P. have a standing appointment for every Thursday afternoon, and, funny enough, this makes me feel more like Thirteen is growing up than the thought of graduation does.

Read the whole thing on Growth Chart now!

Have a wonderful day and week, readers. Take care of one another and yourselves!

E.R.G.
