Biden: Did ‘deep dive’ on SCOTUS Noms

President Joe Biden delivered a brief update on the status of his Supreme Court nominee hunt Thursday, confirming that the White House has conducted a thorough vetting process for “about four” candidates.
Biden’s comments came during an interview with NBC News’s Lester Holt following a speech on prescription drug pricing in Culpeper, Virginia.

Pressed for information on his “short list,” the president said that all of the women he’s reviewed “are incredibly well-qualified and documented.”
“They really are the honor students. They come from the best universities. They have the best experience, some on the bench, some on the practice side,” he stated. “I’ve taken about four people and done a deep dive on them, meaning thorough background checks, to see if there’s anything in the background that would make them not qualified.”
Biden has looked to both Democrats and Republicans throughout his selection process …
