Jace locked the door after Vince left. He leaned against it, the cool glass soothing the burn of embarrassment on his forehead. Could he have been any more obvious? Inviting Vince to stay in the coffee shop after close. Laughing at everything he said. Promising to save his favorite sandwich for his next visit. And what was that snap of jealousy he'd felt when Vince had mentioned someone named Caleb?

He sighed and pushed away from the door. You'd think he'd be angry at Vince for shoving him out of his life and choosing life as a superhero over being with him. Or at the very least, he could have felt cool indifference for a man he hadn't seen in nearly a decade. But no. The second they were in the same room together he had to smile and flirt and show off his ass when he walked past him.

Apparently, after all these years, he wasn't one hundred percent over Vince.
