this thought shall not enter,
for I will defend the fortress
where she rests, peacefully:

listen,
the droplets on the windowpanes
are all she will bear to hear—

no!
no time for crying today—

i will say,
again:
none shall enter
and disrupt the imagination
of she who lives between reality
and a dream.
