Find Your Spot

Cool breeze, warm sun
A seat on the balcony
A corner of quietude
An observation post,
Of life’s activity outside
my world.
A hummingbird sips
Sweet water 
A destination oasis
Young families with strollers
Walk below me 
Red light, green light
Cars come and go
Still, I sit in the corner
Warmed by the sun
Refreshed by the wind
Peaceful solitude 
From my perch.
