“I just wanna make sure she’s comfortable.”

“By putting her in a pillow cocoon?”

“There’s not…,” my statement slowly fades as I scan the scene to see, he’s absolutely right, “that many pillows…”

“It’s every pillow in the entire room.”

I don’t confirm nor deny the obvious.

“And what I’m gonna guess are all of the pillows from your bed.”

My lips pull to one side of my face.

“And are those…are those really our Christmas pillows?” Disbelief mixes with mirth in his laugh.
“You broke out the Christmas pillows?!”

So, I’m beginning to think there is a thing as too many pillows.

Or at very least the wrong type of pillows.
