Adiyogi and the Theory of Evolution

What exactly is meant by evolution? In Biology, evolution is defined as the change in the characteristics of a species over generations, as determined by natural selection.

The theory of evolution as expounded by Charles Darwin has the following major aspects: 1) individuals in a species display variation in physical and other characteristics as a result of variations in their genes; 2)  these variations are determined by what is best suited for success in terms of survival of the species.
