2021

A truly wild year for me, spent mostly in nomadic form. More on that below.

But first, publishing:

As usual, I edited the Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter issues of HST Quarterly. Hard to believe this has been going on 5, soon to be 6 years now already!

Besides that, I didn't publish much this past year, with sole exception of Quicksand Highway, the long-awaited follow-up to Judge Santiago Burdon's excellent Stray Dogs and Deuces Wild.

Back in April, I abandoned what few earthly possessions I had and took off to Hawaii with nothing but a backpack and small duffel bag. Upon my arrival, I rented the cheapest room in Honolulu I could find, which I used as my base of operations for exploring the islands through Summer. By Fall, I'd found myself back on the mainland, bouncing from state to state as I caught up with folks I hadn't seen since before the pandemic began. Come Winter, I was cooling my heels back in Utah for a spell, resting up while plotting my next move. As of today, I am now living in my small, solar-powered RV, just going where the weather suits my clothes. It's not nearly as glamorous as it sounds, I assure you, but I'm finding that I like it well enough for now.

Here's wishing you all adventures of your own in 2022.

xoxo,

AG

Brian Rosenberger Best of luck to you Arthur and HST in 2022. No doubt, we'll all need it.
