December 2021 Wrap-Up

This is probably one of the spiciest books I’ve ever read. I’m not typically one for a book of smut but this cover is so incredibly gorgeous my interest was piqued. It’s almost like a smutty rom-com, is that a thing? It starts of sweet and romance novel like, and then bam! lots and lots of sex. Don’t let the cover fool you, I’ll be the first to admit this was some spicy, steamy, sex. But there were also tender moments. I was rooting for the characters and it kept me interested until the end. It’s also a really short read, I’m looking forward to the Valentine’s day edition.

I was not taken away by this collection. None of them stood out or were thought provoking. I was kind of bored tbh.

Christmas Wish by Brigitte Ann Thomas
This story was cute and quick! A mistletoe kiss possibly starting a new queer romance.

This collection of poetry perfectly embodied motherhood. The want to see your child, how much you love them, and how bittersweet it is to see them grow up.

a lil re-read before diving into Sam’s story, just wanted to refresh of who’s who. Rodriguez published this in the Evil Queen Anthology. It does give a premise to the type of person Sam’s wife is and that not everyone is innocent.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

It’s no secret I love Charity Ferrell’s books, so when she popped this one into her reader group I had to devour it. I’m a sucker for a Hallmark holiday romance and this one delivered. Mariah and Miles are a couple torn apart by family, only to get a chance to reunite several years later. I loved the pacing, for a short story it kept me invested and didn’t make me feel like I missed anything. This is a freebie you should definitely pick up.
