RANDOM ACT OF METAPHOR: Tunnel Vision

Hmmm, it seems to me that our brains are on perpetual information overload in this helter-skelter world we live in. Which makes me wonder: How much does what we don't see – because we're too preoccupied to notice – influence the course of our lives?

I was on a leisurely walk by the Humber River today. It was unusually warm for November. Many winter hermits like me were out enjoying the last exhale of autumn.

I heard a rustling in the trees. Perhaps a bird, I thought. A few feet further down...
