A thousand faces

Every person we see has a thousand faces of the story that they are, some that are present, some hidden or some just waiting. They have a thousand voices, some murmuring, some shouting and some that just sing.

Each person is a cacophony of motion with a thousand rhythms, some that dance, some that falter and some that never standstill.

They are carrying a thousand meanings of life expressed in the tilt of the head, the way they walk, the clothes they wear and the lines on their face. And behind the eyes lives the 5-year-old, the 12-year-old and a life for every decade of their earth’s experience.

Every person carries the thousand threads of time, memories into what was, views of what is and thoughts into what could be.

They are living within a sea of time where waves break upon the shore of consciousness, some fast, some slow and others frozen.

They have a thousand cycles that push and pull their being moment, patterns that capture and let go of the thousand choices that happen every hour of the day.

They are a kaleidoscope of colours of which we see but the dewdrops of their vast universe of occurrence. And each person’s moment has a thousand senses that make life from life and break the illusion of a singular self.
