John Field - A Recent Discovery

With great pomp and ceremony, I am honored to add the Irish pianist and composer John Field (1782 - 1837) to my long list of classical musicians and composers I had no idea even existed despite the half century I have spent on this planet thus far. 

Field was highly respected by his contemporaries and has been credited for inventing the nocturne.
