"John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme - Series 9"

Just finished listening to "John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme - Series 9" released by the BBC.
Mom, Dad, and I greatly enjoyed listening to John Finnemore's hysterical comedy "Cabin Pressure" about the goings-on of a one plane airline, and I know that they would have greatly enjoyed his previous Souvenir Programmes.
Only Series 9 is a real stinker. Nothing about it is funny, and I'm really sorry to say that. Finnemore has shown that he is a comic genius with "Cabin Pressure," "Double Acts," and the last eight series of his Souvenir Programme. Sadly, the failure of Series 9 is self inflicted because Finnemore deliberately choose to focus on the Covid-19 pandemic in a series of tragically unfunny sketches that are played in reverse, with the series concluding with a child throwing up in a top hat.
Yes, living during pandemic times sucks, and some kudos for being willing to strike off in a new direction - a very unfunny direction.
Sadly, I can not recommend this latest outing from John Finnemore.
Zero Stars.
