What Will it Take to Open the Door to The Light of the World?

Picture The Light of the World - William Holman Hunt - 1851 A famous nineteeth-century allegorical painting of Christ knocking at the door of the human soul and consciousness. The most significant details are the overgrowth upon the door and the missing external door handle,  indicating that the door to consciousness has been unused for a long time and can only be opened from within.

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

That was the nineteenth century. If Holman painted this today, we wouldn't even be able to see the door, only overgrowth. On top of that, the hidden door would be fortified with the most up-to-date and pointless home security system consciousness can buy.

I'll leave the analysis of the painting to others this time - see below.
