Theory to Practice

I love reading theory in any major academic area. For instance, reading possibilities based on theory in Physics I find interesting. However, more interesting to me is the application of Physics to Engineering, Medicine, Environmental Science, etc. Application of theory is where my heart rests. Check out when reading literature explanatory texts, where the reviewer attempts to explore the author's treatment of the subject, the subject, historical analysis of the subject in response to some aspect of living, inspiration from a creative spirit, and more. But in the case of literature, the literary work stands alone as an implementation, we hope, of good grammar, great plotting if fiction, thorough research if non-fiction, a worthy or interesting subject, and the recognition over time of value.
Writing is an art form. Writing should inspire some joy in the author, and interest from the reader.
As a reader, when you read, think about the choices the author made in implementation of the possibilities allowed in the selected genre. Enjoy your reading and inspire your author with your thoughts.
