Blog Book 2 is FINISHED
OMG, OMG, OMG. Yes, it is true. "Jude's Almost Daily Blog Book 2" is FINSIHED. I have completed the writing portion of it. I'll pay for the publication in November, and it will likely be our around February or so of 2022. YES, your name may be in it, deal with it, no, I may not have asked permission to do so, I don't have to. I was so nice and so polite last time when I began asking permission and when I was told no by a few of the people I really wanted to add in the book, it just sort of hit me wrong - I don't know, I thought to myself "Who wouldn't want to be in my book?" Now, after all that's happened to me over the past few weeks, I can tell you there are quite a few people who would just assume I forgot how to spell their names correctly; oh, but I did NOT forget. I actually remembered every syllable. I have a few really interesting photos to add to the mix as well, and again, no, I didn't ask permission of the subject of the photos, but I did get permission from the photographer! That counts.
Why am I being so dogmatic about the whole permission thing? I guess because writing is not about being restricted; it's about sharing feelings, emotions, stories, thoughts, truths, experiences and more. It's not about being held back, made to pay, made to suffer, made to anything except what it is, and that is for me to share with the readers who choose to read my book(s) what it is that I experience and examine. I'm not being mean or nasty. I'm certainly not trying to make a buck off of a famous name or someone else's story.
If you know me, and you should know a bit about me if you're reading my blogs, you know I don't lie (unless my kids are involved, then sometimes it's practically unavoidable). I will always try to see the brighter side of things. I will typically give more credit than what is deserved, but I just don't see the need to beg someone to be a part of my book when they were a part of my life and my book, at least these past two, are just that; about my life. Can I help it if I ran into you? Can I help it if you made an impact and now I have to share you with the world? Well, I'll just have to pour you a big ol' glass of get over it, and throw in a straw so you can suck it up! (I said that with a pyrate's smile on my face, I do hope you know I'm not being mean or God forbid, "cheeky".)
"Jude's Almost Daily Blog Book 2" has, in keeping up with the first book, 94,146 words, which means it will be nearly the exact same size as "Jude's Almost Daily Blog" and it will have as many photos, or as close to 100 as I can get. I haven't decided who I will dedicate this book to yet. I will have about another month to decide before I put it in production. It will be published and printed by the same publishing company that did the first blog book; Palmetto in South Carolina. It will have a similar type cover so as to be a good companion to the first book, and it will be added to the website as soon as we have production art and dates to report.
My family wants me to hurry up and get the murder book out and published, and I can do that next. I'm happy to oblige anyone who wants me to murder someone now and again. I have been on such a great roll lately with these mindful (FICTION) homicides that I've been creating, tweaking, and recreating, that I just can't decide if I want to add them all to the new book or just a couple of them. Should I start out tossing the handsome folk guitarist over the cliff? That could be a good attention getter, but the problem with that is, I think he may have been murdered by the guy who actually catches the other two murderers. Time will tell. These things happen. You run into a snag or two, and the sweet guitarist may end up surviving after all - - I may have him break off his right thumbnail for all the trouble he's caused me over the past few months. Again, time will tell. (You never want to waste a good "accident")
Behave yourselves and be good to one another. I've been busy studying for my stock broker and trades exams. My goal of course is to write on a permanent and ongoing basis, but to get to that point I may have to swing trade and made a few deals. Who knows, it could work out in my favor if I find a good place on Wall Street to use a sharpened axe...for another book, not the first one, it's all but decided who will die, how they die, but more importantly (as always) the best disposals ever! C'mon now, you can't expect me to give it away can you? Where's the fun in that?
