Addressing a line in Fresh

Hey friends and readers! Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but I'm hoping it'll be more accessible here. It's been brought to my attention that there is a line in my book Fresh about self-diagnosing ADHD that's not sitting right with some readers and I want to clarify my intention with that line. It was meant to call out people who casually toss mental health diagnoses around in a flippant way like when people say, "I'm so OCD" because they like to clean or when people say, "I'm so ADHD right now" when they're feeling energetic or distracted. I did not at all intend for that line to disparage actual self-diagnosis, which is very legit and valid. That line could have (and should have) been clearer so I will be working with my publisher to edit the line for future printings as I (and Elliot) don't want there to be any confusion over the intention. Thank you to those who have taken the time to point this out to me, I sincerely appreciate it.

Margot Wood Hi all, I wanted to update you now that the paperback is out. I revised the line in the book and my publisher said they'd make the change but it looks like the change didn't make it through production for the first printing of the paperback. I am working with them to make sure future printings are updated but wanted to be transparent about this out the gate. Thanks for your understanding as we get this fixed.
