I think about the word community in so many ways. First, the community that helped raise my daughter. I may be a single father, but throughout my daughter’s life, it would’ve been impossible to raise her without the help of my family.
In my creative life, I think of the community that helped with my second book. I obviously did all the writing, but they gave insight, feedback, and most importantly, they gave me the confidence to release the grip on my writing and let it fly. I love and miss my Writer’s Circle.
For this week’s call for submissions, tell us what community means to you. It can be in your personal life or in your creative life. Tell us how they made a difference.
