Most of the ones I encounter, at least at the moment, are online. In some ways, those are easier to deal with, because I can choose not to interact, and I can choose to turn off whatever device they’re trying to reach me through.
There’s a big difference between doing work on the self/inner work in community, offering support and encouragement to each other, and certain indvidiuals in such group work who always try to siphon off the group-generated energy and make it all about them. They don’t contribute to raising and sharing that group energy; they simply want the benefits of the work others put in.
I’ve put in my time and tolerance for that, and this week isn’t going to be that for me. I will work respectfully and contribute to the group energy raised in a recipricol way. However, I will not allow those who are trying to feed off that energy without putting in the work and contributing to it to siphon from me.
Between the pandemic, my own surgeries, the move, lots of changes, and frustrations, in order for me to get what I want/need out of this week’s work, I need to be ferocious about protecting my energy.
What’s your intention for the week?
