An October Blog?
"So, what happened to the August and September blogs?" Said no one ever.
You know, if I was any good at marketing, I'd sell the idea that a late double month blog, is better value, more informative, etc.
But rest assured that's not where this double month; the "long-awaited," August and September blog; is going.
And this is the August and September blogs, posted in October. Not the October blog. I plan a F451 blog for that. Wish me luck.
Given the above outlined failure, "what's the excuse?" I'm certain no one is waiting, so these blogs are a back catalogue of ideas in case anyone does discover them/me. In the meantime, being the lazy, joker I am, blogs will continue to be published, "when I'm good and ready."
To quote George RR.
Many writers will tell you, quite often, people will express an interest in what you are writing. They will be keen to read your latest work. So, you share a draft of your hard work with a caveat of "It's a bit rough: not quite ready," etc.
After a polite amount of time, you ask the eager reader, "Did, you? Did... you get round to... reading that, err..."
The standard response is, "Oh I haven't had the time." Often times, this comes with the enthusiastic, "the bit I read was really good."
Take some time, engage the person in conversation and find out, which box sets, latest streaming series they did watch. You should now be able to calculate why this keen reader did not have the time to read your piece.
Taking a hint from above turns out I didn't have the time to upload two blogs. Even though, I took two weeks off work in August and didn't go anywhere: I'm blaming CoVid.
On my two weeks off I did manage to work on two novels, count them, 2.
My killer Robot tale, see my previous blog of 16 December 2020 and an alternative history novel set in England during the Second Boer War. That pretty much wiped out August.
"And September?" I ask myself. I would have to say, most of my spare time in September was sat on my sofa not being that bothered. The little nagging voices about tasks that required doing, having exhausted themselves over the last few months and years.
Still, 'let he who is without sin cast the first stone.'
Because we all know women are not allowed at stonings.
(And if you missed that reference, check out. "The life of Brian.")
as ever if you have taken the time to read through this drivel, thank you.
Hope your Augusts and Septembers were fun, enjoyable, awesome, whatever you achieved.
