REMEMBER SITCOMS?

Although it doesn't always work I spend a lot of time preaching to the world that the pleasures in life are timeless. For instance, last night I found myself with enough time for some much needed relaxation. I flipped on my TV and watched about 5 episodes of Martin. Which are on, it seems, all day on one or more network.

While texting away my life due to the OCD that modern society has instilled in me, the question came up many times "what are you doing?"

"I'm watching Martin."

"You mean that old show with the black guy?"

"Yes, I suppose it is old. I don't really notice time."

Sitcoms -as with culture, music, comedy, books, and art; are timeless. I'll be preaching the gospel of 1987 all night long on Hair Nation tonight. The thing is, I'm also preaching the gospel of 2012 as they are one in the same.
