Russian Andrey Rublev, the first seed, made his debut in the second round of the San Diego Open and on Wednesday won an easy 6-2, 6-1 victory over young home side Brandon Nakashima, 83 in the world rankings.
The 23-year-old Rublev, fifth in the world rankings, broke at the start of each set and headed for a pleasant victory that keeps him a big favorite by taking the title.
