The government coalition in Iceland could retain an absolute majority after elections this Saturday, but the fall of Prime Minister Karin Jakobsdóttir’s Green Left raises doubts about his future.
The constellation formed by the Rojiverdes, the Conservative Independence Party and the Progressive Party (center) would get more than 52% and 37 seats, five more than the majority, thanks to an increase in the latter force, which has 62% of the vote, the Electoral Body reported today.
