This was a historic moment for Ramsey, who became the first African-American ever to be nominated for or win in the Animated feature category. But he’s actually been in the business a REALLY long time. One of his first gigs out of school was as the storyboard artist and second unit director for John Singleton’s Boyz ‘N the Hood.'
