Colombian Petro presents his campaign in a public square talking about the environment

Colombian presidential candidate Gustavo Petro, one of the main opposition leaders, unveiled his political platform based on environment and social justice at the first mass rally leading up to the 2022 elections this Friday in Barranquilla.

Before approximately 10,000 people gathered at the Plaza de la Paz in this Colombian Caribbean city, Petro held the first major event in the public square of the campaign in which the successor to President Ivan Duque will be chosen.
