A strong earthquake of magnitude 7.1 with the epicenter near the resort of Acapulco caused little damage this Tuesday night in central and southern Mexico, despite the intensity of the earthquake.
The governor of the southern state of Guerrero, Héctor Astudillo, reported that one person died from the fall of a light pole in the municipality of Coyuca de Benítez as a result of the earthquake, with no significant damage reported so far.
