Two of the dead left heavy rains in the municipality of Ecatepec, central Mexico

At least two deaths and property damage caused heavy rain on Monday that left heavy flooding in the municipality of Ecatepec, in central Mexico, a neighbor of the Mexican capital, local authorities reported.

The municipal civil protection coordination found that a 17-year-old girl and a 73-year-old man lost their lives. The first, after being struck by lightning in a storm, caused an electric shock, while the second died after being swept away by the current.
