New Zealand recorded its first covid-19 death in more than six months this week, with the death of an ageless woman, according to the country’s health ministry, which has been trying to eliminate regrowth since mid-August.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern complained about the loss (the twenty-seventh covid-19 death in New Zealand since the start of the pandemic) and stressed that this first death since February 16 is a “sad reminder” of the importance of virus control measures.
