THE OBLATION: NAKED OR NOT?
Many People do not know that Guillermo Tolentino's "Oblation," iconic symbol of the University of the Philippines, that stands outside Quezon Hall in the Main or Diliman campus (left) is a bronze cast pulled from the concrete original that I last saw on the top floor of the U.P. Main Library (right). Other sculptures in the other UP campuses are copies made or based on the original Oblation.
