The President of Guatemala is again ordering a state of disaster due to the pandemic

Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei on Thursday introduced a new state of disaster for the next four weeks due to the spread of COVID-19, although his decision will have to be ratified by Congress in the next three days.

Giammattei had already ordered a state of disaster on August 13, but this was not approved by Congress, so the president is again trying to implement the measure.
