French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Council President Mario Draghi held a meeting in Marseille on Thursday night to discuss, among other things, the migratory consequences of the takeover from Afghanistan by the Taliban.
Elysee explained this Friday that in an interview held by the two leaders in that city in southeastern France, they also referred to the lessons Europe will have to learn from the Afghan crisis, “especially in terms of strengthening our strategic autonomy.”
