Mexican swimmer Gustavo Sánchez Martínez competed in Tokyo for the third time at the Paralympic Games, and although he is leaving without a podium this time, he has once again shown his ability to break down barriers in and out of the water.
Sánchez, who has only one fully functional arm between his four limbs due to a congenital disability, managed to enter Tokyo in the S4 category final in the 100 and 200 meters of six tests in which he took part without passing the medal exam.
