Apparently it was World Elephant Day earlier this week (and I missed it as usual😂) but I couldn’t let it totally pass by without giving a big shout out to @animallifedrawing

I sketched these elephants (and rhinos!) in a session a couple of months back. I just wanted to say how much I adore these events and there’s another one coming up at the end of this month!

I find them a really lovely way to unwind, although I draw all day I don’t always have much time for observational drawing and to play with new materials, for me these sessions are perfect for doing just that!🖍

The last two rhinos I drew entirely with toilet paper dipped in quink ink which was a fun and semi successful experiment!🧻🦏

They’ve also been a really great way for me to stay connected to family through out the pandemic. My mum and I often do a class together and then catch up afterwards to show our drawings and have a catch up!😄
