I will always remember one phrase of one of my teachers in University. Even though it was a major in business, we were encouraged to enroll to an Ethics course. One of his comments was "There is nothing more dangerous than a smart person without a sense of morality". I believe this Washington teacher would have had some interesting conversations with him
