History Month reminded me of the first time I visited TEODORO A. AGONCILLO in his QC home. I nearly left upon seeing him in bed, breathing through an oxygen mask. After his wife left the room he sat up, took off the mask talked for four hours until the wife returned and politely gestured that the historian needed to rest. He inscribed one of his books with what I called “lightning scrawl.” That meeting probably led me to follow the path of Clio.
