This week, I received a beautiful letter from a mother whose eight year old daughter read The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane aloud to her. The letter was moving for any number of reasons, but what I keep thinking about is that the daughter read the book to the mother. We all know that reading a story to a child is a powerful way to connect; but I think we forget sometimes that adults need to hear stories, too.

Kayla That's one of my favorites. Definitely one I need to get for my almost-eight-year-old daughter! I would love to hear her read it to me.
