Interesting Files at The Vault

Over the years I've taken a lot of interest in all the various files the FBI have declassified and placed on their website, The Vault. Here's a few recently uploaded files:

The American Airlines Flight 2292 "UFO" case.

The FBI's file on Jack Parsons' wife, Marjorie Cameron

And, the FBI's full file on racist occultist William Dudley Pelley. The file makes it very clear about his scummy, nutty, dangerous belief systems. It runs to more than 700 pages and is in 2 PDF files.

Vance Pollock Wow! That Pelley file was fantastic. I stayed up all night reading it. It helps that section one was based on confidential interviews and for part two they actually sat down with the devil, then made their report including his responses to their first phase of investigation. The report includes evidence for much that I had speculated over the years. He was set up for the first investigation by private interests in '34, confirmed here. His headquarters in West Asheville did feature a large radio aerial to pull in short wave signals from Germany, as Micah Hanks' grandfather had told us. And, this one gave me goosebumps, my old friend Guy Harwood most certainly did work at the printing plant on Haywood Rd, the same building where I first met Micah some 15 years ago when it was a sandwich shop. A very personal document for me. Thanks for posting about it. Rare that I find something on Pelley that I've never seen. I actually knew the guy who filed the original FOIA request then died waiting on it. I helped him with many of the "proof of death" entries. I guess that's why so many names I recognize aren't redacted. -V
