What's in a name? Changes Coming to RAEVANSWRITES
This blog has seen some rather dramatic changes since its launch in late 2010. From variety of different themes and treatments to the inclusion of 7 Deadly Questions, Bloody Good Reads, and even my very own Trailer Park, RAEVANSWRITES has grown beyond my wildest dreams.
I recently surpassed the 30,000 views mark and must admit that the fact that so many people are choosing to visit my little corner of the web – and apparently return for more – has come as a complete surprise. In many ways this blog has truly been my personal journal – deviating from my random musings and thoughts only when I have the opportunity to interview a talented author, review a book or peddle one of my own projects.
That being said, much like with my sophomore effort Grave Undertakings, I find it time to take things up a notch on this blog. The traffic demands it. Your comments and interaction demand it. And, quite frankly, there are certain unexplored opportunities that require me to approach what I am doing in a very different way.
What does this mean for you? Initially – not much. You'll still be able to find everything you've come to expect by visiting www.raevanswrites.wordpress.com. Only now, you will be directed to the new and soon-to-be improved www.raevanswrites.me. One might think it's a move born merely out of ego – and you wouldn't be completely wrong with that thought. More than merely ego, however, this move provides me greater flexibility and hopefully brand awareness as I continue my quest for globally dominance.
If you've enjoyed visiting this blog I beg only one favor – make it a +1 experience. Invite a friend or family member to visit the dark side of the web at www.raevanswrites.me. My musings may be an acquired taste, but I'm confident that the crack I'm slinging from this dark and seedy corner of the web will surely get you hooked.
As the sign reads above the door of The Hotel California, "you can check out any time you like but you can never leave!"
