New Series - Book 1 on preorder!
I'm so excited. After a few months spent working on this new series, the preorder for Book 1 is here.
It will be out on 26 September, or a little earlier if possible.
Whether or not you pick it up before this date, please consider adding it to your to-be-read pile.
Here's a sneak peek!
Lyra peered out of the lift. Her assistant stood at the hotel lobby door and beckoned her. Happy that she wasn’t about to get mobbed, Lyra wrapped a diamond-encrusted leash around her hand and hurried across the foyer with her nosy beagle.
The mainly white dog had a brown back, as if a dusting of cinnamon had been poured along her from head to tail. At least, the color had been more that shade as a pup. Now, her coat was paler—more of a biscuit shade really—but it was too late to rue that. Plus, she couldn’t imagine Cinnamon having any other name.
The doorman tipped his hat as they stepped outside into the sunshine of a Portland summer and a camera went off in her face.
Blinded for a second, Lyra couldn’t see who was behind it, and stumbled down a step. Maggie caught her arm, managing to hold her upright. Lyra's driver appeared on her other side and between them, they bundled her into the limousine.
Maggie thrust Cinnamon onto Lyra’s lap and climbed in beside her. “Get us out of here, please.”
They pulled away from the Curb with a squeal of tires, and Lyra glimpsed a man in a dark trench coat. Coal-black eyes stayed with her on the drive. Not the color—but the hatred in them. Was her imagination playing tricks?
